Naming the Elephant, ch. 7

"My definition of worldview, therefore, will necessarily assume that we hold our worldview to be the truth of the matter (p. 122)." This was very refreshing for me to read. Picking up on a similar theme from Moreland's Kingdom Triangle, Sire argues for a classical sense of tolerance rather than the contemporary sense. Sire spends this chapter by unpacking his definition of worldview. I appreciate his care in making sure we understand the what and why of his definition. I also appreciated his exercise of writing our beliefs on prayer and how we live that belief out. I plan to use that (see end notes).
