Naming the Elephant, ch. 4

This chapter impacted me more than any other. Oddly, it is one of the more succinct chapters. The structure of the arguments are to discuss the theoretical, pretheoretical and presuppositional aspects of worldviews. He introduces the idea of the sensus divinitatis in this chapter as well which would impact me. I realized about myself that I have tended to place philosophical explanations for God/theology above biblical. If I truly believe that we must begin with ontology and that Jesus is the cornerstone of knowledge, I must then give higher appreciation to the Word and the Spirit in my life. I will discuss this further in the application reflection.
