Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church, ch. 5

Carson here finally destroys the antithesis created by the emerging movement. The tension between belonging and becoming is something my church has been dealing with over the last few years. I found it very interesting that, even in a context where I didn't believe we were dealing with emergent concepts, I find that we are. Carson assesses this biblically and that is what I always appreciate about his writing.
