Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church, ch. 2

Most books of this sort do not do what this chapter did. Carson treats the strengths of the emerging church, and for that I am thankful. It helped me rightly appreciate and critique the movement on its own terms. He does a great job of nailing down what is right about it without overstating the need for the movement. His comparison to Redeemer and Keller was helpful for me in seeing what these strengths could look like in an orthodox church.
