The Heresy of Orthodoxy, ch. 7
Taking a common-sense approach to the question of manuscript copies, K&K seek to answer two questions: Who made the copies? and How different are they? What is remarkable to me is how "bookish" the early Christians were. Many of the leaders were quite capable at overseeing and producing large amounts of manuscripts to the point that we have thousands more of the NT than any other ancient book. What also becomes clear is the precision they used in their manuscripts. Because of their care, we can as confident as possible that what we possess today is of high integrity. Ehrman's attempt at attacking the manuscripts is unfounded and entirely unreasonable.
